THE FERRY

The Washington State Ferry is by far the most common route to and from the San Juan Islands.  The Ferries can accommodate vehicles, walk on, and bicycles traffic.

Driving On (All Fares are Round Trip)

Bringing a car on the ferry is easy to do, but a few tips will make it even easier (and cheaper).

-Arrive at least 1 hour prior to the ferry’s scheduled departure.  On weekends, you may want to allow more time.

-The Charge for the Ferry is based off a vehicle under 20’ in length and 7’6” in height, so if you can keep your car to those measurements you will save money.

-The base fee only includes the driver, so passengers are charged as walk-ons

-If your bikes on the roof of the car put you over height, consider laying them down, or having some one walk on the ferry with them.

-If you have large group of passengers or multiply cars there are discounts available for purchasing multiple passes.  For further information on FARES

Walking On (All Fares are Round Trip)

Anacortes Terminal Parking
